It is true there is more than one list of the top 10 MBA schools. However, the order of the schools may change somewhat but the same names appear time and time again. Names like Harvard, Stanford, Kellogg, Wharton and Yale have been on best lists for generations. It would be hard for an already successful and educated person not to want to get into the programs offered by these world renowned schools. For one thing, the prestige of being associated with one of them is limitless. Having such a name as a backup gets rid of most of the competition. Finding and keeping the best jobs will be easy, and this means keeping the highest paid jobs under your belt. It is common knowledge that the best business minds have come out of these schools.

These are the top 10 MBA names (Kellog and Wharton are both listed at number 3)

1. Harvard
2. Stanford
3. Kellog
3. Wharton
5. Sloan
6. Booth
7. Haas
8. Tuck
9. Columbia
10. Yale

No matter which of the top ranking business schools you want to get into, there is a lot you can do to help your application. Very often, applicants are very keen to get into a program and they rush into the application. This is unnecessary and in fact you should avoid it all together. Of course, you will be aware of when a school starts accepting submissions. However, this is not the deadline so there is no need to rush your application. It is far

better to make sure your application is as good as it can be. Take your time, and as long as your application is submitted on the due date all is well. It is a very good idea to get a few other people to review your application. Choose two people who have the credentials to do this. Don't ask too many people as it could get confusing. Two appropriate reviewers are all you need. Once you have their critique you can think things through and backtrack if necessary. It is much better using all the time you have to tweak your application into excellence rather than rushing it.

The procedure to get into the very best business schools is long and arduous. It takes years and in fact it all starts in high school. Individuals who earn a place in such a prestigious program have been working toward this goal for many years. Usually, every academic choice and career move has been based on them getting into one of the top MBA schools. The graduates coming out of these programs are the best due to hard work and planning. These are traits the schools look for in their candidates because this is what is required in the real world of business. If you are an individual who has already succeeded and wants to be a part of the best in the world then only the best MBA program will be good enough for your needs.
