Passion is the secret to all success. Without passion, you'll quickly grow bored of any thing you do. And once that boredom sets in its not so easy to get rid of it.
Think of the things that you enjoy doing. Make a list and then brainstorm all the problems related to those things.
For example if your passion is singing then think back to when you started out and all the problems you encountered that while ago.
* How to find the right teacher?
* How to extend your vocal range?
* How to get a gig?
* How to get in a band?
The list can go on for ever and you will quickly be building your business!
keep brainstorming and writing down ideas no matter how silly you think they are and I guarantee you that you will think most of your ideas are silly. The problem with this attitude is that other people will value your experience and your ideas so you're cheating yourself out of a grand opportunity.
One of the most important things to consider about a business is that it must solve somebody's problem. If you can find a problem in anything and can also find a way to solve it that you can charge for -- you have a business.
In my above example, you could start an e-book or you could start an online community or you could create a software program (to help with voice training) or you could do all 3!
In another example, maybe you're passionate about cars. In that case, you could focus on the common problems people have with their cars such as:
* How to change a tyre
* How to diagnose a funny noise
* How to check your water and oil
* How to do a minor service
* How to do a major service
... and the list goes on!
Do this little exercise with any passion or interest that you may have and then start investigating ideas on how you can profit from sharing your knowledge and experience.
There is absolutely no reason to limit yourself to the local market. You can market these to international people and do quite well.
On the other hand, if you have information that people can't find overseas, focus your efforts locally and you will dominate the market with your specific advice.
You can create a business from almost any idea but creating one from a passion will leave you very happy and very wealthy!
