Last summer, I stayed with some friends in Milton Keynes and found myself looking into storage options while I was there. It wasn't that their place was small, it was just that I left my bags in the hallway at home the evening before I left and my flatmate repacked one of them after coming home from the pub, and I inadvertently took a bag filled with novelty hats that he'd purchased at festivals. Why he thought I'd want to take those, I'll never know. Not realising what he'd been up to until I was on the train, I made a mental note to do something terrible to him, and then started checking into Milton Keynes storage options with my mobile phone.
Fortunately, there was a storage provider quite close to the train station, able to hire everything from lockers to rooms which were around 800 square feet. As enticing as the larger rooms were, I decided that I only really needed a locker for my flatmate's comedy bag. The storage company in Milton Keynes' website was really easy to navigate - even from my tiny phone screen - and within minutes, I had a locker booked. With that worry off my mind, I was
free to rest on the train without worrying about how I was going to explain to my friends that I had a bag full of novelty hats with me.
With the prices at the Milton Keynes storage company being very reasonable for their lockers, I wasn't worried about spending the money to store the bag for the week. With a week being their shortest term, this was getting better and better - no long contract to pay for, a reasonable price for the week and no friends laughing at me for having a bag full of silly hats. This was a plan with no drawbacks.
When my train arrived, I walked to the storage company, paid for the locker and stored my bag. Knowing that the bag was hidden but safely stored nearby gave me the peace of mind to enjoy visiting my friends for the week without worrying about having to carry a bag full of comedy hats around with me or being concerned that it might be stolen from wherever I left it. If my flatmate ever decides to be 'funny' and re-pack any of my bags before I go anywhere again, I'll definitely find a storage company in the area I'm staying in.
