You have put in time and considerable effort into your Affiliate Marketing campaign but you are still not receiving money from your hard work. Does that seem familiar? If the answer to that question is yes then this guide will be useful.
Affiliate Marketing is not a complicated practice. If you have all the steps correctly in place you will make money.
1. Have you built a product portfolio? It is never enough to just be promoting one product. Several products of a similar vein are required to be successful. Also another must for any successful market is to trial the products that you are promoting. It is vital that you can stand behind the product.
2. Can people find you? If nobody knows about your product promotion your campaign is dead in the water. You must have traffic in order to make commissions.
3. Do not find products using a trial and error approach. Check out forums and see if there is demand for a certain type of product. When you have determined that there is a market need use trend analysis to determine which products are increasing in popularity. Selecting products by randomly hoping for the best is a sure way to fail at Affiliate Marketing. Marketing on the internet is not about technology - it is about people. Find what people want and give it to them.
4. Have you cloaked your affiliate link? If you haven't cloaked your link you could be missing out on a lot of commissions. Not
have your linked cloaked also makes you run the risk of having your earnings stolen or siphoned off by unscrupulous characters.
5. Are you sending people to a poorly made sales page? If you are sending traffic to a poorly written sales page - you may be putting off potential customers and potential commissions. If you find that a product's sales page is poorly written you can make your own sales page and drive your customer straight to the product's order page. Doing this can greatly increase your commissions from promoting your affiliate products.
6. Are you using credible product vendors? Using vendors that people are hesitant about using is a recipe for failure. You have to imagine buying a product from the consumer's perspective. Would you be comfortable using an unknown or potentially dodgy vendor? If your answer is no, then what do you think the consumer will do?
7. Finally, not seeing affiliate marketing from the consumer's viewpoint is a critical mistake many people make. The most successful Affiliate Marketers see products from the customer's viewpoint. They stand by the product they are promoting and they build great relationships with their customers.
These are all mistakes that Affiliate Marketers make no matter what level they are at. If you are not where you want to be the chances are that you are missing out on one of the above. All need to be in place for you to be a successful Affiliate Marketer. Apply these and you will be successful.
