Working for Queen and Country is extremely rewarding and having been in the Royal Air Force for six years I can't ever see myself wanting to return to Civi Street, but apart from being the job of my dreams, being in the Air Force does have its disadvantages.
Many of my colleagues are married so working away from home for periods of time can be difficult for them having to leave behind their families and not being able to see their wives and children, but for me being young free and single it is a lot easier. Although in other respects it is not.
With the property market being so unpredictable of late I have never sought to buy a house and seeing as I am away from Ipswich for at least half of the year I deem it as a bit pointless to spend all that money each month on mortgage repayments for a house that I hardly reside in. So when I am home, I rent a flat, house share or lodge. I could stay at the Airfield but having done that for a couple of years I wouldn't want to go back to that. So renting is fine, but when I have to work away I then
have to pack up my belongings and put them in storage in Ipswich.
The first time I had to do this last year I was dreading it. It was a hassle that I could do without, but it turned out to be totally the opposite. I set out to seek self storage in Ipswich, and found to my surprise that, firstly it didn't cost as much as I had envisaged, which is always a bonus, and secondly, the convenience of it all was beyond belief, I even received free van hire to transport the heavy stuff!
Having tried to palm off my belongings to friends and family to no avail, the need for self storage became greater and is now synonymous with my relocation process every time I head off for a few months with the force.

I usually only store my possessions for a couple of months at a time, but as a returning customer I am often offered special offers, but regardless being able to put my furniture and belongings in storage, minutes from the area that I usually rent in has been so handy.
