As it turns out he tricks her by making her think that he's taking her to New York but instead takes her to her home town of Crowley Corners, Tennessee in hopes that it will make her less of a diva and more of a regular teenager by giving her this incredibly life changing reality check. The rest of the Hannah Montana movie is instilled with all sorts of adventures, romance and fun even Hannah Montana herself couldn't imagine.
