What do you buy your loved one for his/her birthday: this can often be a conundrum, but this article will hopefully give you food for thought - there you go; food! Why not take your better half out for a romantic candle lit dinner?
OK, that's a bit obvious and isn't necessarily something that can be unwrapped - and most partners would expect to be taken out to dinner or cooked for as a pre-requisite. If you can't think of something that he/she would really like/want: as in jewellery, handbag, golf clubs etc then why not get them something that will be memorable?
There are so many 'experience days' out there - from car driving days to Zorbing (you know, where you get inside an inflatable ball and someone hurtles you down a hill), from a relaxing day at a spa to an exhilarating afternoon wakeboarding, but one in particular is a fool-proof winner for anybody wanting to impress their other half: balloon rides.
That's right, hot air balloon rides are memorable, breath taking, relaxing and romantic all in one. And whatsmore, they're not that expensive either. Group flights can be very good value but for that perfect balloon ride a VIP flight is the way
to do it.
Many companies offer champagne balloon rides which are the ultimate in romantic experiences - just picture it, in a hot air balloon with the love of your life on a crisp summers morning, blue skies and fluffy clouds adorn the panoramic views across the British countryside.
And with many balloon rides taking place all over the country there are plenty of options: you don't have to simply take a flight locally, you could travel to the most beautiful areas of the country such as Stoke Rochford in Lincolnshire or West Meon in Hampshire, or why not take in the splendour of Kent, also known as 'the garden of England'.
There really is nothing else to compare - OK you could take it to extremes and go parachuting or bungee jumping, but that is hardly relaxing. Balloon rides give you breathtaking scenes that are on offer nowhere else - floating amongst the clouds really is a joy to behold and has to be siomethign you experience before you die.
Balloon rides offer the perfect setting for a marriage proposal providing that something a little different and less cliched than a trip to Paris - just make sure you hold on tightly to the ring!
