For a smoker, it is hard to imagine them smoking anything besides a tobacco cigarette to satisfy their nicotine cravings. That is because until now there has not been a product that they could smoke that taste like tobacco and gives the same feel of inhaling tobacco, but now there is. The electric cigarette is the only product of this kind anywhere and many smokers have already tried it and do enjoy using it enough to give up tobacco smoking all together.

The electric cigarette is rather simple really. It works using a filter filled with nicotine liquid, an atomizer that heats the liquid, and a battery stick that makes the atomizer heat. When a person inhales the nicotine liquid, air is pulled through the atomizer and warms the nicotine liquid in the filter and makes a vapor. It is not real smoke, but a vapor because the water that is also in the nicotine solution creates something akin to steam. To the smoker, this heated nicotine vapor feels like the smoke they inhale from burning tobacco. The nicotine solution is flavored to have the taste of tobacco as well, but no real tobacco is used.

While there is some chemical content involved in making the nicotine liquid, it is nothing when compared to the thousands of harmful chemicals that are used in producing and processing tobacco. Then there is the fact that there is no tar produced from the nicotine

liquid like there is when you burn and inhale tobacco. These are the two main reasons that it should be much better to use an electric cigarette rather than smoking tobacco.

It does usually take a few days for a tobacco smoker to make the transition from smoking tobacco to using the electric cigarette regularly. Another aspect about using this device is that if you wish to smoke a few tobacco cigarettes while you use the product you can, but it is better to start using the e-cigarette and continue using it as a tobacco replacement. Once you have accustomed yourself to using the device it is so much easier to do without the tobacco because you are still getting the nicotine.

It is understood that it is better that you not take nicotine into your body, but the nicotine itself is not nearly as harmful as a lot of people make it out to be, It is actually the chemicals in tobacco and the tar from smoking that causes the most physical damage. You can get nicotine filters with as much or as little nicotine in them as you want just like you can with traditional nicotine cigarettes. You can even get filters for your electric cigarette that have no nicotine in them at all. You can start out with full flavor filters and gradually begin to use filters that have have less nicotine when and if you choose to.
