They are very popular, though so you will need to book early on, at least three months in advance, although some of the most popular areas are booked up to a year in advance. To get better rates, you might consider renting a place during the off-season, if this option is available. Although most owners return to their houses during the off-season, they may be willing to rent out the house for another week or so.
Vacation rentals are a great option if you are tired of living out of hotels with your kids climbing all over you. The space and affordability make these homes a good way to go when you are vacationing with the family.
