Planning to take a trip to sunny beaches or to the slopping Swiss Alps? Well, if you are - don't forget your skin care needs and make sure you pack the right skin care body lotion for your trip. There are different protective creams specially made for the right environment. Check out some tips below to help you pack the right one.
Why Can't I Just Bring My Regular Product Along?
You can. Just make sure that your regular product is fit to answer your skin care needs, especially when you are exposed to harsh conditions that can damage or dry it up. Remember that if you go skiing down the Swiss slopes, the weather there is very cold and may cause your skin to dry up. Now, if you are sunbathing on the Caribbean beaches, you got to have the right sunscreen with enough sun protection factor or SPF. More so if you are going to a Safari in the hot and humid Africa, you have to pack the perfect body creme or balm to pamper your exposed body.
Under The Tropical Sun
If your vacation destination sets up for lazy days lying on the beach sipping frothy, fruity drinks, then your best bet is a wide brimmed hat, the anti-UV ray shades and of course a whole pint of sun block. The tropical paradise sun gets too hot during the late morning until the early afternoon; you definitely need protection during these times. Remember, you need to use sun block and not a mineral oil lotion - it is totally useless under the sun, plus the oil will burn your epidermis and not protect it. Find a lotion that has a high SPF count, the higher the SPF percentage is the better protection you'll be getting. Try and look for a product with an SPF of above 40. SPF 30 products are useful for walking from the bus stop to your office building - not the heavy duty stuff that you need.
Keeping It Cool
When you are faced with freezing temperatures - as you would if you go cross country skiing, then you will definitely be experiencing some dry and cracked skin. The low temperature has a tendency of making it difficult for the dermis to retain moisture. This is why it is imperative that you pack a moisturizing lotion that will help you avoid your skin from drying out. If you are constantly out on the slopes, you may have to apply it more than once during the day - it is best to keep a small bottle in your purse at all times.
