Although it is certainly true that every courier company out there has a largely different slate of services that they offer, this is unlikely one that you're going to find anywhere. Even the most all purpose New York courier service that offers almost every other service under the sun is unlikely to offer this as well. The reasons for this have mostly to do with the tight schedule that a courier company has to keep.

When people are talking about what is important to them in a courier company, there are consistently two things that they rank the absolute highest. One of those is going to be that their packages do not get damaged or lost. The next though, is how fast their courier can make their deliveries for them. This is something that is very important to most people that are shipping in any industry.

If a company was to allow their couriers to stop and help people pack their shipments, it would generally create a huge delay in the amount of time it takes to make most shipments. Usually, the goal is to make picking up the package as smooth of a process as possible. That is why courier companies put

such stress on making sure their clients have all the required documentation and packing done according to guidelines before the courier arrives. This would make having a courier help with packing impractical on several levels.

Packing your own shipment correctly is also a qualification of many of the insurance policies which are carried by courier companies. Generally, the insurance policies say that you are only covered if your shipments are packed according to all of the courier's guidelines. This obviously doesn't include receiving any help from the courier company.

Sometimes the one thing that you can find is packing supplies available for purchase from your courier company. Some courier companies find this to be a valuable way of adding another stream of income to their business. This is a good source for you to find the material that you need in order to help you pack properly to meet all those previously mentioned shipping guidelines.

Although the exact guidelines for packing are going to be a little different from every company, there are some general rules you can remember. Always make sure anything that can spill is packed in something that is sealed. Also, anything heavy should be packed in a reinforced box.
