Although fall/winter fashion season tends to bring in a lot more creativity with designers and tends to have even more press about it, spring and summer can also be a really fun time for fashion, and a time that you will be able to really express yourself. Summer and spring fashion is all about making it easy and fun, so don't worry about having to put together complex outfits anymore. Here are some of the easiest trends to wear this summer.
Tie-dye was seen on quite a few of the runways this season, but not in the sense you would expect. The way that this trend was presented definitely didn't give off the hippy trashy sense that you are used to, so you can feel confident in wearing this trend without looking too much like a beach bum. Most of the tie-dye patterns were seen in bright, neon colors that made you think more surfer than hippie. So get your best lime-green tie-dye tank top and pair it with a great pair of khaki shorts and sandals. You will look hip and fresh.
This season is also all about looking a little more girly. Typically feathers tend to be much more of a
fall/winter trend as feathers are seen on coats and big outfits like that, but this season the feathered skirt was seen across the board. A cute skirt with lots of fluffy feathers coming off it will uplift any late-night outfit you might wear out. Skip the black body-con dress and go for a blush pink or nude colored skirt. You will feel pretty and girly in that ensemble.
The color scheme of this season is all about the neutrals, blush pinks, and nudes. Steer clear of that overused black you wore to death during the winter, and go with lighter and more airy colors that make you feel like it's spring and summer. Khaki colored suits and suit jacket will even brighten up a floral dress.
Lastly, make sure you put some floral in your closet. This season isn't like last season where the 90s prints of florals were in going along with the very trashy biker chic looks, but instead the florals are reminiscent of lovely tea parties with your best girlfriends. Pair a pretty floral dress with some wedges platforms to get your height up and maybe some scrunched socks to make the outfit look up to date.
