It's not hard for me to look around at God's wonderful creation and ask myself, "How can something so powerful and perfect in balance, just happen?"
I'm not exactly sure why this subject continues to be so highly controversial. For one reason or another, everywhere you look - you'll find believers and nonbelievers constantly debating and arguing over how all this came about.
This is why I love to lean on the Bible, for I believe that it has the answers to these somewhat complex questions that we all seem to have. While everybody else is steadily looking for answers, the Bible continues to provide them for all those who are willing to hear and understand.
The answers that the Bible gives us are so simple, that people just can't seem to grasp the fact that something that's so complex and diverse could be answered in such a simple way. But it seems to me, that the creation of the universe is not the problem? It's the simple response that they get in return that bothers most.
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Genesis 1:1-2
It's very interesting that the universe contains billions of stars and perhaps thousands of galaxies, and within that awesome canvas, we find that it all works with remarkable order and efficiency. It shows us that God's creation is nothing but beauty
and awe that contains a high level of uniqueness and power, which brings nothing but mysteries and amazement to our limited imaginations.
All of this came from a canvass that was empty and void that was without form, for the scriptures informs us that there was nothing but darkness upon the face of the deep. And yet, we find God crafting something that was full of beauty, detail and remarkable image. Everything was created with a specific purpose and individuality, which presented a very diverse environment that contains balance, symmetry and perfection.
What's even more amazing is the fact that the scripture informs us that all of this was done in six days. Once again, instead of accepting this information people rather argue and debate forgetting that God is the creator of time.
"Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day He rested from all His work." Genesis 2: 1-2
Why can't people understand that God could speed up time or slow it down in order for him to accomplish what he wanted to, when it came to his creation or anything else he so chooses?
It doesn't matter if he created it all in six days or six long consecutive time periods, or six billion years. Besides, the thing that's important in this case is that God did it, and not necessarily how He did it or how long it took.
