Eye drops are used very often by patients that wish to relief their eyes and they can be of two kinds. There are moisture drops that don't contain any form of medication and other medical drops used as a medicine. The first kind can be used with or without subscription. Most often they are used to moisture the eye that feels dry or itchy and they can also be used if dirt or dust should be removed. Moisture drops are often natural tears or are made of a solution that contains a harmless lubricant.

They are often used be people that wear contact lenses, those that spend too much time working in a computer or those that have mild allergies. Mothers with babies also use them to clean the baby's eyes. Drops that contain medication are subscribed by doctors and are used to treat many conditions such as several eye infections. These drops may contain antibiotics or other types of medication.

All kind of drops are sterile and you need to take some care when using them. Wash your hands thoroughly before you handle anything. If this is the first time you are using drops, you may find it easier to sit in front of a mirror. Many people can use drops even when they are walking, but this is probably not the case if you are new at this. Remove the cap from the bottle and hold it upside down. Place the tip close to your eye and squeeze the bottle a

little until one drop falls.

Avoid touching your eye or eyelids with the tip. If you are using a medication, make sure you use as many drops as prescribed. If you are using natural tears, there is no need to take too much care as they are harmless. In all cases make sure the drops have actually found their way to your eyes and are not in your check bones. Keeps your eyes closed for a minute or two after using the drops to allow them some time to settle.

After you are done, keep your bottle in a cool and dark place and make sure no one can reach it. Eye drops are sterile and can be easily affected by any kind of bacteria. Avoid using the same bottle with someone else in your family and make sure you have clean hands when using it yourself. You should also take care to close the lid securely so that the tip remains clean. For the same reason you should avoid touching your eye with the tip while using the drops as it can get infected with your infection and then infect your eye again. Keep these things under consideration even if you are using simple moisture drops as they, too can cause an infection if they are poorly cared for and get infected by a bacteria that will infect your eye.

Other than that, it is a simple procedure and you will not face any problems once you will get used to it.
