Lower back pain relief is a simple process, yet too many people make mistakes. If you eliminate these mistakes then you can remove your back pain quicker and safer. The problem is a mistake can cost you time and pain.

Do you want to be able to relieve lower back pain quickly? Would you like to enjoy a life free of pain? If so then you need to avoid these mistakes at all costs.

When you try to ease your lower back pain, you will normally target your muscles and may add in a few anti-inflammatory measures. It doesn't matter if you medicate or use natural pain relief, symptom elimination is your first goal. After all who wants to be in pain?

Your back pain eases from the pills or potions, and you decide to target those muscles that have been tight for weeks, months or longer. You hop onto the internet and find some stretches that say will help. You are inspired and think you have finally found the answer to your pain. You now start to stretch your way to being pain free.

Big mistake!!

Why?

Before you stretch, you must work out where your lower back pain comes from. You need to assess which muscles are tight and what type of distortion

you have. Too many people jump into stretching and end up doing more harm than good.

Once you have worked out which muscles to stretch, which joints are causing problems, stretching is the next step. What do you do now?

Like I said. Big mistake!

Did you know the biggest mistake in low back pain relief is stretching incorrectly? Sure you need to know what to stretch, but more importantly you should know how to stretch.

What you need to know is this: stretch only to the point of a "pulling" sensation and not pain. Only use effective stretches, those that create a rebound relaxation of the muscle. Then the muscle will relax more and for longer. Make sure you are positioned right - if do not have the right position you can actually traumatize the muscle, leading to it becoming even tighter.

I see it often in my practice, people are told to stretch to help relieve lower back pain. The problem they find is there back pain remains, incorrect stretching is one of the common reasons why.

Do you want good, quick and easy lower back pain relief? Then you must stretch correctly. Fail to do this and your back pain may remain or it could become worse. Don't make the mistake!
